Kris Marshall (born April 1973) is an English
actor. He was raised in the Cotswolds, Hong Kong and Canada, and educated at
Wells Cathedral School and, after failing A levels, Redroofs stage school.
Marshall started acting at an early age making an appearance in British television soap opera (then Drama) The Bill, but it was in 2000 that came his major breakthrough role as Nick Harper in the BBC sitcom My Family. In 2002 this role won him the best newcomer award at the British Comedy Awards. He went on to have more prominent movie roles and play the lead in the television series Murder City and My Life in Film. In 2006 he appeared onstage in The Revenger's Tragedy. He now stars in BT adverts as the father of a recurring family. Selected filmography
